I just love to start my day with some time reading the word. Admittedly, I don’t always start my day this way, but when I do, I feel great. It makes it even better when God shows me a good verse. A good word, one that speaks to me and makes me think. A word that I can really learn and grow from. Here is an example:
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2
As I read that verse, I was thinking, “Wow! This is awesome, just what I needed this morning!” I was so happy that I found this. Things were looking up, until my family got out of bed not 20 minutes later. In no time, I had ruined humble, gentle and even patience, and I sure wasn’t doing anything in love as I hurriedly combed hair, made breakfast, and told my husband through my attitude where to go, and it wasn’t heaven. Maybe I didn’t get it today, but I will remember today in the morning. I will learn from this verse and think about it even more because it just didn’t happen today.
