Sickbay

Well, right after I posted yesterday, Katriana's fever decides to go even higher than what it already was. Yep, that's right folks. 40. Thankfully, Fernando was on his way home and we took her immediately to the walk-in clinic. After we saw the Dr. we weren't at all surprised she had such a high fever. She has tonsillitis, conjunctivitis, and 2 ear infections. I think I just sat there a little shocked because, she was PERFECTLY FINE on Wednesday, then all of a sudden, BAM, she's seriously sick. The Dr. prescribed some antibiotics, we went to the pharmacy and picked them up, then we took our sick little chicken home and I gave her a tepid sponge bath to try and cool her down. All I really managed to do was agitate her. After awhile, she fell asleep for the night and slept amazingly peaceful considering how sick she was. This morning, she wakes up feeling fine and her fever is gone. WHAT?!?!? Don't get me wrong, I was super excited that the fever broke during the night, but sometimes the human body confuses the crapola out of me. Wednesday she's fine, Thursday she's serious sick, and then Friday we're fine again. I'm just going to give the credit to God on this one, because it doesn't make sense otherwise.

So glad she's feeling better. Fevers can be scary!

Obviously she needed the meds, but doesn't it sometimes make you mad that after you spend money on the Dr. and pharmacy that the very next day most of the symptoms are gone and the kiddo is feeling much better?

I am very happy she is feeling better. It sounded scary for a bit. I always freak out if the kids get a temp. over 100.

I remember how wonderful you feel after a fever breaks. You feel 1000 times better, even when your body isn't 100%. I've never thought of it in terms of how wonderful a mommy must feel after her child's fever breaks. I'd bet you feel 1000 times better about it too.
I suspect she'll be in and out of sick until she gets over the infections, but at least she's feeling better and the worst part is over.
Give ma babies some hugs, and tell them Holly is thinking about them.
